Anna-Wili Highfield for Hermes

We recently came across Sydney-based artist Anna-Wili Highfield and her 2011 work for Hermes. She was commissioned to create a series of window displays for their Australian shops. From ravens to vibrantly galloping horses, each piece was constructed by hand-stitching archival cotton paper. Highfield is quoted in Vogue Australia saying, "I love a challenge and I like a medium that is resistant and has its own form. With my work, I like to give a sense of how the pieces are made by leaving stitching exposed and threads hanging."
